In Plain Sight
initially an 'objection' to having his picture taken and blasted on my lovely blog, I dug deeper and thought, hmmmmmm.....what are we hiding from? who are we hiding from? why are we intimidated or fearful of showing/being our true selves? what? because of rejection? so, let me get this straight.....we're completely satisfied with rejecting our own feelings, wants, needs and desires instead? (ponder on that for a moment)..... HAH, I THINK NOT!
(i really mean this in the most 'PC'-est way possible) who cares what others think? you must do you and, i haven't a choice but to do me. otherwise, we're living for someone else and uhhhhh--that's totally unfair and like, so last year. breaking news: we're individuals with unique aspirations and goals, so.....try owning that!
are you enrolled in a nursing program while your heart is in the kitchen? culinary school it is then! are you with an unsupportive partner? happily pack his/her bags and call tyrone/tyra and tell them to pick up your 'baggage!' are you debating whether to tell your parents that you haven't felt 'gayer' being your gay self? shout that sh*t! if you want to dance, sing, backpack, start a business, compete in a triathlon, drive cross country, go on a missions trip, or, i don't know, join a monastery, do that!! one life to live people.....yours! stop hiding and live in plain sight!!!!!! I DARE YOU!!
