5-Page Letter

I was a little timid to do it. Well, if I'm honest, the word 'afraid' is more accurate. However, thanks to the persistent prodding of a friend, I let it out, purging everything. One page, two pages, three, four, five pages filled with emotion. Not that I wanted to 'stir' things but I just wanted--no, had--to remove the chaos and clutter.

At times I was black and white with it and 'ABC'd' it for him, while in some instances, I was quite colorful and hurled graphic and raw metaphors in his direction! You see, at this point....what's done is done and I'm reclaiming my happiness, my joy. And, because he didn't give it to me (my happiness and joy, that is), he can't take it away.... But more than for me, I did it for all the other victims that have been silenced. I did it for all the little girls who in a matter of seconds, minutes, are forced into 'adulthood.' I did it for all the little girls who don't know what to do, or don't know why cousin, uncle, brother, whomever is doing 'that.'

My 'little girl-dom' ran away when it happened to me. Luckily, I was able to find her, love her, appreciate her and allow her to cry when needed. My 'little girl-dom' is growing up now and she realizes that this new reflection in the mirror is love and will protect her by any means necessary. As such, she and I now play, happily, together.....

Ironically, not only am I but that letter is also signed, sealed and delivered! :)

I'm often without earrings so I'll start with.....

ice cluster bib necklace

last dance dotted dress

the cinched bucket bag

the suede backroads bootie

because it's cold out, i would definitely throw on leggings with visual interest but, unfortunately, i couldn't find a pair that tickled my fancy..... knowing me, i would grab a red wine or eggplant'ish color....oh and the belt! definitely a thick,

white roped belt with a decorative gold enclosure.
